Night guide arrested for killing tenant in Osun.

The Osun State police command has arrested three night guard for killing a man known as Mohammed Badmus.
The 40-year-old man was reported to have been shot on Saturday around midnight at Ibuowo Estate in Okinni of Egbedore Local Government area of Osun State, where he lived.

However, it was hinted that the night guard who allegedly shot the victim at a close range with his dame gun thought someone was hiding in front of the house.

Confirming the incident, the victim’s landlord said “I did not sleep at home but I got a call around 1 a.m. that Lasgidi was killed by a guard. When I got home, I saw his door open, while his corpse was outside the house.”

Meanwhile, the State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Yemisi Opolola in a statement, said, “one Babatunde Olumide, the Chairman of Ibuowo Estate Okinni reported at Dada Estate Divisional Police Headquarters, that their night guard, one Moshood Rasaq, used his Dane gun to shoot one Mohammed Badmus, aged 40 years and he died instantly.”

She said further, “The suspect has been arrested, the gun used has been recovered, while the corpse has been taken to UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy.

“However, the case has been transferred to SCID for further investigation.”
