Alh. Samaila AA Rukuba,  a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain and the Jakadan ZAMAN TARE, has spoken on Plateau killings and explained how it can stopped.

In a statement signed by him on Tuesday,  he said Plateau killings will only be stoppec consciously and sustainably.

He said, “The best form of defense is attack” this old military physical and psychological strategy has not changed, ask TSUN ZU. Since 2001- till date, the same method of reacting to the killings, issuance of many points demands, wearing of mourning mode clothings and bystanders comments will not and never will it stop the excessive, mindless, sporadic and clearance intended killings.

“Between 2001-date it’s not a careless conclusion, if I say the intents and purposes, clear aims and desired objectives, including perpetrators are known.

“Let’s heed and manifest the admonitions of the former speaker of House of Representative, Hon Dogara.

“The truth is that they will not stop until we stop them.

“The true narrative of the killings in Plateau is not farmer-herder clashes but banditry and terrorism, with a predetermined objective and which must be addressed in that context.

“Wherever these people are, they must be located, to either take justice to them or bring them to justice. The concept of predictive peace, is to take control.

“Whereas, the presence of the Military seems not TO BE enough deterrent to the genocidal marauders, the intentional, conscious and physical preparation by the Plateau natives, to locate, prevent and deter further attacks only would sufficed the peace and assuage the souls of the innocent victims.

“The community leaders and not the Government should ensure these, prayers and solidarity are good but physical preparations are better.
The building of a strong peaceful society, that would resonate Plateau requires a paradigm shift.

“I think with these, the Plateau indigenous leaders should feel guilty of not doing the needful.
I sympathize with the Governor and Government, but kindly cooperate with the indigenous leaders to put to end these circle of doom.@Dr saarukuba.”
